BTDT is a very compact application. Beside this intro, it has only one HTML file of about 10k, which dynamically changes its content while the visitor browses in the albums. After opening this small HTML the only downloadable files are the pictures. But most of the cases their load does not need extra time. While you are reading this introduction, the first picture has been loaded to your computer. So, when you click on the "I accept the terms ..." text above, the picture will be displayed immediately. In general, BTDT always preloads the picture that is most likely being visited next.
Yes! You may request the latest, fully functional version of BTDT free. You may freely replace my demo photos with yours. However, you are not allowed to remove or alter this intro or any part of the software, which refers to the origin of the product. Legally speaking, the product should be handled as a shareware, with copyrights withheld by the author.
For a low fee we can taylor BTDT for you. The minimum fee is $15.00. It includes the customization of this intro screen, a one time preparation and implementation of the slide show and thumbnail pictures from your original photos, and a user's guide. Additionally, you can order a maintenance program that enables you to easily add new albums and pictures and remove old ones. You can also order custom made "skins" to your albums, if you don't like the colors, shapes or sizes that I have been using in the demo version. We can also host, maintain and update your public or private albums on the web for a low fee.
BTDT is a platform-independent, cross-browser application. It works in most major browsers, like in Internet Explorer 5.5+, in Mozilla (Netscape 7.1+ and FireFox 1.0+). It will run in Safari and Opera in the near future, too. It does not need a database or a web server. Actually, it does not even need an Internet connection. It can run on a stand-alone computer from a disk, a CD, or even from a small USB memory.
BTDT is using the latest AJAX technology, without the need of special plug-ins or extra downloads. You don't need Java or Flash or any third-party browser extensions; only the built-in Javascript should be enabled in your browser. I see that your browser is accepting Javascript.
